Meet Dr. John Bynum
In 2007 I was the victim of a multiple roll-over auto accident that knocked me unconscious and into a coma! I was left clinging to life while trapped under the wreckage of the pick-up truck I had been a passenger in. This was in southern Oregon in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere.
The driver of the truck fared much better than I did and was able to crawl back to the highway and flag down a good samaritan. The paramedics came, and I was cut out of the wreckage with the jaws of life and airlifted to the hospital. My recovery was long and difficult. I needed several surgeries, saw Physical Therapists, Acupuncturists, and Massage Therapists, but I was still in horrible condition!
Eventually my father, seeing how slow my recovery was, suggested I see his chiropractor. I personally had results that day! My full recovery took many visits, however; I kept going, and my health kept improving.
During my recovery I learned more and more of the health benefits of chiropractic. I learned that true health comes from within. That the health of the spine relates to the health of the nervous system, and the health of the nervous system is what controls the health of the rest of the body. I learned that the recipe for health is actually quite simple: eat well, get plenty of exercise and sleep and lastly, have a second set of hands in the form of a chiropractor to keep you well-adjusted.
The decision to become a chiropractor seemed obvious! I needed only to learn the skills that helped me in my recovery, so that I could help others in theirs. What better way to give back to other people? Soon, I started making plans to go back to school. I left my jobs - I was a Concierge, a Bouncer, and was also working at a funeral home, and moved to California for graduate school. Four exhausting years later, I graduated cum laude from Life Chiropractic College West in San Francisco and began my search for the perfect clinic in which to serve people. I found it here at Balance Chiropractic!
I look forward to life in Boise! I grew up in Seattle and have visited Idaho many times in the past, but I know there is still so much more to explore! I look forward to new hiking trails, new mountains to ski and snowboard, new rivers and lakes to kayak in, and continuing my other passion - ice hockey!
Family is so important to me! My mother loves to knit and do volunteer teaching. My father loves to hike and work on collector cars. Both are now retired and living in Washington state. I look forward to spending time with them on holiday weekends
I work on a computer 10 hours a day and also 'try' to stay active, so I'm prone to neck and back tightness and stiffness. Dr. Troy has done an incredible job keeping me out of pain and really promotes preventative work to keep me healthy. The staff is super nice and the overall setup is very professional. I would highly recommend his office!
Very glad I found a chiropractor to trust and have their help! Very great customer service & advise! Dr. Norris is working with my recent accident and history of Fibromyalgia. Not to mention their office is beautiful and check in system is easy. 😁 I'm feeling better and better everyday thank goodness!
